Did you know that 1 in 59 children are diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? Many of these individuals have challenges with social skills, communication, and repetitive behaviors. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based best practice for ASD according to the US Surgeon General and the American Psychological Association. Behavior therapists develop personalized home and community-based plans to meet all client needs.

More than 850,000 adults in America have a diagnosis of Intellectual or Developmental Disability, and that number will swell to 1.4 million by 2030. At Abilities, we  pride ourselves on our commitment and follow through in serving the Southern Illinois ID/DD population. We offer a variety of support services for individuals, families, or staff members. Abilities provides opportunities for vocational, learning, and recreational programs.

More than 220,000 residents of Illinois are diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and even more have another type of dementia. The most challenging aspect of care are behavioral and psychological symptoms, like aggression, noncompliance, and wandering. ABA services specialize in the assessment and management of challenging behaviors. We also developed person-centered programs to maintain important life skills.
